New Gens Open Call Profiles

New Generations is launching its annual open call for practice profiles. Submit your practice for the opportunity to be featured on our Instagram and LinkedIn channels. Applications are open until 24 August. 

 

Apply to be featured in the New Gens Profiles, our editorial series showcasing emerging architectural practices from around the world. We are seeking architectural practices founded after 2018 that reflect the diversity of today's architectural landscape through their backgrounds, geographies, scales of work, methodologies, and perspectives. Through this open call, we aim to highlight inclusive professional narratives, promote balanced gender representation, and showcase alternative and horizontal organisational structures that challenge conventional models of practice.

 

SUBMIT YOUR PRACTICE HERE

We are particularly interested in practices rethinking how architecture is organised, produced, and shared. This includes exploring collective, cooperative, or non-hierarchical models, fostering collaboration across disciplines, cultures, and sectors, and/or working in peripheral, rural, or otherwise underrepresented contexts. We also welcome practices that engage communities, craftspeople, researchers, artists, public institutions, and other non-traditional partners throughout the design process. We are equally interested in practices that expand the boundaries of architecture by combining design with research, education, advocacy, publishing, fabrication, policy-making, or social entrepreneurship.

We encourage applications from those promoting equitable labour practices, shared authorship, transparent governance, care-centred working cultures, or participatory and community-led approaches to practice. Rather than seeking a particular aesthetic, scale, or project type, we are looking for practices that demonstrate new ways of practising architecture and contribute to a more inclusive, diverse, and forward-looking profession.

 

SUBMIT YOUR PRACTICE HERE

Submit your proposal before August 24. Selected practices will be contacted by email before 4 September and invited to answer 2–3 short questions by email. Their responses will be edited into a brief profile, accompanied by a curated selection of images capturing the distinctive character of their work and approach. Each selected profile will be published on the New Generations Instagram and LinkedIn channels.
