Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 3.000 practices from more than 50 countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

The project involves the construction of a new sports centre for the Municipality of St. Martin in Passeier.
The aim is to create more than just a sports facility; rather, it seeks to establish a small civic centre, a new public space for the community.
The design concept divides the program into two distinct rectangular volumes that shift between each other, creating a new external public space and a new entrance.
This newly generated space forms a small square situated at the intersection of the pedestrian path leading from the village to the pedestrian bridge over the Passirio and the new access to the outdoor swimming pool complex.
A large roof characterizes the volumes above ground, creating a simple horizontal element that frames the landscape beyond the building.
The plan of the main building comprises a sequence of solid and void volumes.
A first fully glazed volume houses the bar overlooking the square, with the tennis courts to the south and the pool complex to the north. The expansive overhanging roof and large sliding windows extend the internal space outward, creating a seamless continuum of space.
A second compact block, entirely clad in wood, houses the toilets of the bar, the kitchen, and a more intimate "stube" overlooking the tennis courts.
The building ends with a compact block of exposed concrete containing the changing rooms and toilets for the tennis courts and pools.
The concrete walls feature two colors and a sandblasted surface. Outside, a darker shade is achieved with natural pigments, integrating it with the natural tones of the surroundings. The same aggregates are used for the washed concrete flooring of the square and paths.
To create distinct atmospheres a variety of materials have been combined. Coloured resin flooring and tiled walls define the changing rooms and toilets.
Larch wood, alongside local stone Val Passiria gneiss, was selected for the interior cladding, creating a warm atmosphere and evoking local building styles.
