Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 3.000 practices from more than 50 countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

Stone, the natural material composing the base of an elegant residential building, serves as a perfect testament to Milanese post-war style, and it is excavated to house the new Officine Gullo showroom.
Stone platforms, stratified at varying heights, transform into authentic urban scenes, acting as stages where Officine Gullo’s creations play a prominent role.
The project involves a sequence of subtractions, excavating within the building’s volume. The space is conceptualised akin to a quarry, where each removed volume creates space for a kitchen or an exhibited piece.
A central steel backbone serves as the connecting element between these platforms, symbolising technology and dynamism. It not only organises and facilitates the spaces functionally and in terms of systems, but also embodies the brand’s distinctive production philosophy and material values.
Precious and metallic materials blend seamlessly with stone, a chromatically neutral element also crafted with care.
The ceiling treatment resembles that of an exhibition space, where every detail, from the positioning of lights to the colors, is meticulously designed to amplify the characteristics, chromatics, and singularities of the exhibited works. This creates an environment where architecture becomes the narrator of the artisanal mastery that characterises Officine Gullo.
The spatial experience is enriched by video installations, exhibited objects, and modifiable curtain systems. Visitors can immerse themselves in the creative processes and the variety of materials used through these elements.
The terrain configuration, through these steps, facilitates a natural transition from street level, simultaneously allowing a reconnection with the external environment.
