Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 3.000 practices from more than 50 countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

MONO NOM with colaboradora.mx restored an old electrical measurement device factory, into a multidisciplinary space.
The floor plan of the old factory with an open space was designed to receive artist residencies. There is also space for private gatherings, bathrooms, and an open workshop.
The design prioritises maximising open space while keeping essential service areas, like the kitchen and bathrooms, nearby for easy access and functionality.
The open workshop and service areas are in constant interaction.
These are the main workshop space, the private areas constructed from wood, and a glimpse of the first artist residents utilizing and transforming the space with their creative works.
MONO NOM repurposed old factory furniture for the kitchen and workshop, re-using most materials onsite.
The project included renovating the main building, restoring existing furniture, and creating private office modules.
The metal elements were fabricated using the factory's original machines while the office wooden structures were created using beams and plywood to minimise waste and speed up assembly. .
"Hacer olas.", the debut artwork created at espacio baltico by cuerpo celeste, was later exhibited at The Contemporary Austin – Jones Center.
The welding area, once used by factory workers, now serves multiple functions.
It hosts exhibitions of new works, gatherings, and more. espacio baltico has become a versatile space, accommodating private gatherings, cultural events, and various art classes.
Private spaces crafted from wood and metal, using original tools and machines found within the fabric, provide secluded areas for private meetings or personal work sessions.
