Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 3.000 practices from more than 50 countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

Join Pesaro in Transition: submit your project by September 28 to be featured on New Generations’ Instagram and LinkedIn, and included in a printed publication showcasing inspiring ideas from around the world. We welcome built or unbuilt projects addressing three themes: climate mitigation, productive landscapes, and coexistence between species.
Pesaro In Transition
Moli and New Generations are joining forces in the project “Pesaro in Transition”, which brings together international voices to encourage local authorities and citizens to reflect on possible scenarios for the city’s future. As part of this initiative, we are launching an open call for projects to expand the debate through the involvement of our network, culminating in an atlas of ideas around three key themes: climate mitigation, productive landscapes, and coexistence between species.
We invite architects, designers, artists, researchers, activists, … to contribute with projects, visions, and experiments that propose new ways of rethinking how we inhabit and transform our environments. Submissions can take many forms—built works, prototypes, research, artistic installations or pavilions, speculative scenarios, community-based initiatives… and may include both realised and unrealised proposals developed after 2020. Whether addressing large-scale strategies or small, experimental interventions, we are looking for examples that challenge conventional boundaries and propose original, climate-conscious, and inclusive approaches.
Selected projects will be shared online through our Instagram and LinkedIn channels and featured in a printed publication to be released at the end of the year, with each selected participant receiving a copy.
APPLY HERE! *You will be asked to complete a simple online form and submit a short text along with a selection of images of your proposal.

THEMES
Find more details below about the three themes to guide your submission.
Climate Mitigation: How can design actively contribute to reducing the impacts of climate change? Beyond technical solutions, climate mitigation calls for new forms of spatial, social, and cultural imagination. We are looking for projects that explore strategies to reduce emissions, adapt to extreme events, and rethink how resources are used.
Are you working with natural materials that reduce CO₂ emissions while improving how buildings respond to a changing climate? Have you designed a new material or system that could help reduce emissions and support climate adaptation? Did you design a building, a pavilion, or submit a competition proposal where climate mitigation was the central strategy?
Coexistence Between Species: Cities are often designed for humans alone, leaving little room for other species to thrive. This theme seeks to challenge anthropocentric thinking by imagining shared habitats and new forms of cohabitation. We welcome projects that create opportunities for biodiversity, foster awareness, and cultivate respect between species.
Have you created or imagined a project that provides habitats for animals, plants, or other non-human species in urban or rural spaces? Did you design an installation, landscape, or building that encourages interaction or cohabitation between humans and other species? Have you participated in a competition or intervention where biodiversity and multispecies coexistence were central to the concept?
Productive Landscapes: Landscapes are not just backdrops but active systems of production—of food, energy, materials, and knowledge. This theme invites projects that rethink how territories can sustain life while balancing ecological, social, and economic values. We are interested in both traditional practices and experimental models that propose new forms of productivity.
Have you designed or imagined a landscape, garden, or urban space that produces food, energy, or other resources sustainably? Did you work on a project that reconnects communities with local ecosystems or productive territories? Have you explored experimental systems or prototypes that transform underused spaces into productive landscapes?
