Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 300 practices from more than 20 European countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

Since 2014, the Luchtsingel pedestrian bridge, initiated by ZUS, has reconnected the former Hofplein train station to the rest of the city of Rotterdam.
The Luchtsingel pedestrian bridge was the world’s first crowdfunded public infrastructure project, also initiated and designed by ZUS.
The idea of this project is to eventually create a two-kilometre-long green promenade. The Luchtpark (Air Park) realises the first phase of this plan.
Connecting the increasingly densified city centre to the surrounding landscape.
The polder landscape that borders Rotterdam inspired the park’s design, which constellates an orchard, a meadow, a play dyke, and a reed bed.
As well as reusing the original rail elements, such as the rail track, portals, and platform.
Visitors can lie in the grass, enjoy a picnic, sit on one of the fifty artificial sheep, or explore the garden with its fruit trees, bushes, indigenous plants, and vegetable gardens.
The Luchtpark Hofbogen is accessed via the Luchtsingel and the Heer Bokelweg.
The blue play-dyke provides space for adults to lounge and for children to play. The original platform also functions as an outdoor auditorium and shall be completed with a pavilion.
The grounds of the Luchtpark Hofbogen can also be used for events. Luchtpark is just the beginning of a prominent parkland structure.
Many organisations have already made use of this facility in recent years, including events related to cinema, dance, festivals, theatre, and opera.
In the coming years, ZUS shall continue its planning together with local residents and entrepreneurs.
