Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 300 practices from more than 20 European countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

Green oasis, street café, community centre, public square, these are the new incarnations of the Courtyard City Hall in Poznan, Poland.
It was designed and developed by Atelier Starzak Strebicki, an architectural office based in the city.
Along with the Courtyard, Atelier Starzak Strebicki has been in charge of the design and implementation of other projects in Poznań, such as Kahawa coffee house, the Poznań Animation Theatre, and the Exhibition system Przystan Sztuki.
The Courtyard, located in the Old Town, received a second life: it was transformed from a car park into a meeting place for residents. It became an open, multifunctional public space.
Located in the interior square of Poznań’s town hall, the intervention creates a sequence of public spaces between the Frédéric Chopin Park and the Poznan Old Town square.
The square has been furnished with a family of objects referring to different needs of groups of users.
This idea of public furnishing had already been explored in their project ‘Constellations’, a temporary creative street furniture and greenery project installed on the Esplanade Solidarność 1980 in Brussels.
These elements may be used for seating, lying or cascade sitting referring to the scheme of auditorium in theatre.
All objects were put amongst flora, trees planted in flower pots and high grass that give intimacy and cosiness to this new urban interior.
This includes a round big bench around the existing flower-bed and mobile seats that can be formed into amphitheatrical arrangement together with a podium.
