New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 300 practices from more than 20 European countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

In 2008 Asier Rua shot his first photo for Madrid Interior. Since that moment this personal project grew, evolved and took shape becoming an art project, rigorous and coherent. Through colour and composition the photographer takes us into a journey to the most unknown and intimate Spanish capital spaces, those further the facades: the interiors. After a research in more than a 100 locations, the 93 photos gather all kind of spaces. It includes public buildings, such as Jaime Hayon’s Casino de Madrid, Florida Park cabaret or the Spanish Filmhouse; private spaces projected by creators who take color as hallmark, as the houses of the photographer Ouka Lele, the designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada or the interior designer Pepe Leal, also projects of the architects Izaskun Chinchilla, Andrés Jaque or Teresa Sapey. However, this multi-faceted portrait wouldn’t be complete without anonymous people’s spaces. The purpose it is to reflect Madrid’s essence through its interiors, not to state the interior design trends of the city.
